Unlikely: Both symptoms might be found in a patient who has vitreous hemorrhage and gingivitis both due to advanced diabetic microvascular disease. It is best to have a dilated retinal examination to look for signs of diabetes. It is sometimes difficult to determine for sure whether there is advanced disease. See an eye specialist or retinal specialist and an endodontist.
