A member asked:

Do a few vitreous floaters (but otherwise good vision and no other problems as evaluated by opth) predispose you to future eye problems?

Vitreous floaters: Are very common. They are due to degenerative changes in the vitreous gel which fills the back of the eye. In the large majority of cases, floaters develop without any other associated eye problems. You have already had your eyes checked to rule out any retinal tears, holes or detachment. Floaters are permanent but do not cause any predisposition to future eye problems.

No: Floaters are common and, if the retina exam is confirmed normal, are unlikely to cause any future eye problems.
