Only rarely: In general vitamins are very safe but too much of some can be dangerous- particularly vit a, e, d & b6 but in general one has to take extremely high doses for a long time to become toxic. There is evidence that taking synthetic e is harmful so only take natural e. Also potential dangers of taking high doses of an individual supplement like beta carotene without synergistic nutrients.
