Is there a way to help relieve my leg pain after a herniated disk surgery?

That depends on why: There is still leg pain. Sometimes it is related to inflammation early postop although a retained disc fragment, a recurrent disc herniation, an unrecognized conjoined nerve root was present, scar formation or wrong level was operated on. Maybe the leg pain was not related to preop disc identified. Speak to your surgeon about further imaging if needed & treatment based on clinical exam & images.

Ask your Surgeon: Your surgeon will guide you through treatments. Including anti-inflammatory medications (if you don't have a medical contraindication for this), he/she may decide to re-image your spine with MRI with contrast to see if you have a recurrent or residual herniated disc. An epidural injection could even be recommended if your surgeon feels this may be helpful. At times neuropathic meds may also help.
