Hydrate....: It is important to make sure the child is drinking as much fluid as possible to replace the losses from the diarrhea. Please call the pediatrician to discuss this; there are many non-viral causes of diarrhea and you need to be sure what is happening here.

Many causes: Infants and young children can have diarrhea for many reasons including viral infections, bacterial infections, too much juice, antibiotics, and malabsorption. Duration, frequency, associated symptoms, and character of stool are important in finding the cause. See your child's doctor for further evaluation.
