How likely is it that acid reflux has caused my gums to recede?

Acid reflux: Because reflux is so acid in composition it can eat away at your teeth and gums many times the recession is on the inside of the gums and teeth only see if your doctor can help you control your reflux.

Contributory: Acid reflux has many side effects which can cause damage to normal structures. Mucosal tissue can be eroded by excessive acid. Ordinarily thicker tissue surrounds the teeth, however, if there is only mucosal tissue around the teeth, this tissue can also be effected adversely. I usually see eroded teeth as the main dental concern, but recession can be worsened with acid reflux. See a dentist soon!
