Ppd testing: If you are given a TB test, a small amount of the TB bacterial protein is injected into the top layer of the skin. If you have had a prior TB exposure, your immune system would typically have made an immune response and you would see this response in the skin by a raised red reaction at the injection site. Interpretation of this reaction requires an experienced physician for grading.
