PPD: You have living tubercle bacilli in your body and they will aways be there. Not only is there then no value to the PPD (it will be positive due to similar factors that make the quantiferon positive), but you are at risk of having a very severe reaction to the PPD and losing tissue in the area in which the PPD is placed. Please do not do this. Unnecessary and dangerous. Best wishes.
