A member asked:

Is it possible to have tb after a negative ppd test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PPD testing: The answer is yes. A previous exposure to TB (travel to a country where TB is endemic) can result with a negative PPD test before the germs produce disease. Have yourself retested in 8 to 10 weeks if still suspicious or opt for the blood test, quantiferon.
