Chronic vs Normal: Anxiety is a process that we all experience that involves thoughts of uncontrollability & unpredictability of future events, negative affect (emotion), & physiological arousal. Preparedness for danger so to speak. If this process is chronic & causes significant distress & impairment in functioning, then can become an anxiety disorder of which there are several types. Anxiety can be good.
