See below...: It's like the difference between social drinking and alcoholism... Or sadness & major depressive disorder. One (anxiety) is a feeling/experience, the other (gad) is a clinical diagnosis which is a collection of symptoms that one experiences simultaneously, intensely, as quite debilitating & for a prolonged period.
