Need exam first: See a dentist or specialist (prosthodontist) for complete exam to determine your options. Then work with them to make a plan to improve your smile. Good luck.

Cosmetic dentistry: I think you should havea smile evaluation. Without seeing why you think you have untractive teeth it is impossible to say what dentistry you need. It could require braces, gum surgery. Crowns, jaw surgery, or all of the above.

Yes: Cosmetic dentistry can be life changing. Find a real experienced and reputable doctor. Talk to some doctors and ask them who they would see if they were going to have a cosmetic procedure done. A prosthodontist has the most training in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. A specialist will evaluate and design your smile to make sure you not only look great but feel great.

Cosmetic Dentistry: Is purely an individual decision. Many people are comfortable with flaws in their smile while others are not. I would recommend seeing a dentist and discussing options that may be available to you.

Absolutely: When you get to the point where you use words like "ashamed, " you clearly could use some help. In fact, cosmetic dentistry is ideal for people who would feel more confident & attractive with an enhanced smile. Compared to other cosmetic facial procedures, a smile makeover is usually much easier & less costly, and its results can last indefinitely. Just get a consultation and see what's available.

Of course!: If you feel ashamed because of the esthetic look of your teeth, and improving the esthetics of your teeth would give you a more positive self image, then esthetic dentistry would absolutely be something that would interest you. Just keep in mind that the majority of esthetic dentistry is elective and generally not covered by insurance.
