A member asked:

What to do if i had tubes in my ears as a baby, could it cause problems at 25?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely unrelated: Tubes in infancy will often produce some staining of the ear drum with calcium deposits in later childhood. These do not affect hearing and do not generally persist into adulthood. While the reasons you had tubes as a child may still affect your ears in later life, the ear drum itself has long since been rebuilt & shows no sign of earlier events.
