As a teen, is it good to start doing muscle build up?

I would: As long as it is done safely. It will also build confidence. Stay away from steroids, pills, fad diets.

Opportunity: Adolescence, and specifically late into puberty begins a window of opportunity for you to build stronger bone and muscle mass. The natural surge in hormones will allow for more gain/effort than earlier. You have the opportunity to put on at least 5 pounds of muscle mass/yr, if not more, without using external sources.Work out under a certified trainer to help avoid injury.
