Sampling: A cyst is any fluid filled membrane structure. The "fluid" may be any number of substances or combination of substances. The aspiration attempts to remove some or all of the "fluid" with the purpose of removing the cyst and/or gaining a some of the fluid for testing. Depending on the location, the procedure may be completed under real-time x-ray or not.
