A member asked:

Can pancreatitis cause a low thyroid?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: Unless it is part of certain rarely seen syndromes ... Pancreatitis is certainly not a safe condition, with unpredictable outcome [both short and long term] 'different' in/for each individual ...Nothing should be taken lightly about pancreatitis. But, there is no direct link between pancreatitis and thyroid disease;on the other hand, hypothyroidism can contribute to pancreas problems.
