Not true: The thyroid disease does not cause the pancreatitis and correcting the thyroid will have no effect on the pancreatitis.

NO: Autoimmune thyroid is caused by the immune system attacking the thyroid. Autoimmune pancreatitis is caused by the immune system attacking the pancreas. consequently, if you remove the thyroid the immune system is still present and still causing autoimmunity to the pancreas.
