Why isn't my periodontist telling me the cause of my big recession? i go for my quarterly cleanings. why does he not volunteer the answer in any way?

Gum recession: I agree with you--it is your mouth and you should know. Simply ask him/her directly and wait for an answer. Is this why you were referred to the periodontist in the first place?
