Gum recession: I agree with you--it is your mouth and you should know. Simply ask him/her directly and wait for an answer. Is this why you were referred to the periodontist in the first place? I would call: The doctor and explain your concerns to him or her. If he/she seems reluctant or dismissive, then perhaps time for a change. Findings should always be discussed with patients - clinical and radiographic. Good luck. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.
