A member asked:

My 14 months daughter can sleep through the night without waking to be feed. is it advisable to leave her to sleep till morning and feed her.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Congratulations: At 14 months, kids can do this and thrive. Actually, some of my patients do it by 4 months. The stomach is just a loading dock for the bodies food processing center. There is always 10-12 hours worth of digesting material available to sustain baby for a generous sleep period. If they eat well during the day this is what we want for infants to achieve.
