Dear sir, hiv 4th gen test result 0.19 ( non reactive ) at 7 weeks, i took a test today which is at 10 weeks (72 days) 0.779 ( non reactive). the index value has incresed from 0.19 to 0.779 , getting anxious sir coz of increased index value, pls hlp?

When the index value is below the positive level (usually 0.9 to 1.1), it it totally negative. The same specimen tested 10 times would give 10 different numbers. While this can be unnerving, the detailed are not designed for the doctor and the lab, not the patient. The doctor then just tells the patient the result is negative. If still nervous, get retested; it will still be negative. Good luck.
