Your chances of bleeding into the joint after injection into it are increased if you're taking both plavix&aspirin. Most people go off their anticoagulant, aspirin or plavix for 2-7 days before an intraarticular injection. Your physician or cardiologist may not want you to stop your plavix at all and the orthopedic specialist or rheumatologist may ask you to forego the joint injection.
