Why is the window period for health care professionals exposed to hiv 4 to 6 months but for people exposed through sex 3 months ? do we not have the same immune respone why the difference in guidelines and time for conclusive results ?

There is no different window period and no different test recommendations for these different kinds of exposures. Any advice along these lines is just behind the times. The currently recommended test interval is 6 weeks (or 45 days), not 3 months.
