A member asked:

If one already has an enlarged spleen, could covid cause it to rupture or organ damage?

It's usually trauma that causes rupture of an enlarged spleen, but spontaneous rupture can occur with certain malignancies including leukemia and lymphoma. Infections such as malaria& infectious mononucleosis are other causes of nontraumatic ruptures.

It will not cause splenic rupture or damage. Covid can affect every organ in the body- but so far no spleen specific complication has been shown.
