I had a cta of head and neck. i was inside scanner for 30 minutes. i could hear and see a red light flashing at my feet. was not an mri. is this amount of time normal to be inside ct?

Not clear why you would ask this question, as you did not describe any harm that occurred to you during the testing. Are we missing some critical details? Modern CAT scanning is very fast, but on occasion, complex studies may take longer. You are encouraged to ask the radiologist if all needed data was acquired.
