My boyfriend has herpes on his penis. a few days ago he fingered me and i was a bit nervous about getting hsv. is it likely to get it this way? he had no sores or blisters present at the time, also he was wearing a condom too?

You can catch your partner's genital herpes only by intercourse. Fingering is not a risk. However, if his herpes is due to HSV2 (and not HSV1), he should be taking daily treatment with acyclovir or valacyclovir to reduce the chance of transmitting the infection to you. It can be transmitted by sex even without an outbreak of sores or blisters.

In this scenario you will not get herpes. It has to be introduced by something which has a virus on it.
