15 days ago, i started having stomach cramps/nausea that got worse. i went to the ed and they did a ct/c and said i might have colitis. for the past 3 days i am having upper gi cramps, nausea, gerd, and bloating. could an infection last this long?

Colitis could be due to an infection called diverticulitis, but usually that would show up on CT scan. Most likely you have inflammatory bowel disease, i.e. Crohn's disease of the colon or ulcerative colitis. You need to see a gastroenterologist; either find one directly or ask your primary care provider for a referral. Good luck.
