HPV is transmitted skin to skin & requires that contact and a degree of mechanical action to pass from the infected genitals of one person to the next. There is no transmission by casual contact to clothing/underware/etc. Wash whatever way you wish. The fear of garment transmission is not warranted.

The HPV virus on clothes is killed when washing by hand or a washing machine. The liquid detergent is good but bleach is more effective. Wash clothes separately if genital warts were present on ones body.
