The kidneys are a fluid sensitive system that discards fluid in excess of your need. If you drink a lot out of habit you will pee more. If you slowly reduce your fluid intake volume over several days the kidneys will adjust and you will pee less. There are rare people who have a defect where they cannot reclaim water and pee in spite of loss, but lab tests can identify the rare few with the defect

An increase in age, diabetes ,and obesity can cause an overactive bladder with frequent urination. Drinking a lot water as you do will cause more urination. Cut back on water and go over lab results with your doctor.
