This is worrisome: The formation of a very small amount of urine over 24 hours in the setting of increased drinking of water is concerning. Typical normal urine output is ~700ml at least. Anuria is defined as less than 50ml urine output per day this requires prompt medical evaluation which will include such testing as electrolytes, blood sugar level, kidney function, urine testing, and may lead to other testing.
