The main cause of strong or fishy vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of bacteria. Sometimes there is discharge as well. Trichomonas and other STDs are more common in BV, so you need STD testing. Visit a doctor or clinic diagnosis including STD testing and treatment. (Do not just go to a pharmacy for advice! Under-treatment risks complications including infertility.) Good luck.
