Nonunion: Non-union represents delayed osseous healing of fracture usually of a long bone. The reasons for non-union include decreased blood supply, infection, fracture fragments not apposed, movement of fragments, or soft tissue interposition at fracture site. Sometimes goes on to heal without surgical intervention. If doesn't heal by 6 months , need surgery.A non-union that does not heal is pseudarthrosis.

I had CT done which came back normal. Followed up with doc, still same symptoms, but also very specific RUQ pain too (new symptom). US ordered and shows 4x2.8x1.6cm echogenic mass. Could this really be missed from CT 2 weeks prior or developed since?
