A member asked:

I had ct done which came back normal. followed up with doc, still same symptoms, but also very specific ruq pain too (new symptom). us ordered and shows 4x2.8x1.6cm echogenic mass. could this really be missed from ct 2 weeks prior or developed since?

Yes: In short, the ECHO "discovered" a "echogenic" mass this = a mass able to "bounce" sound..a cyst is a good example..If this is very THIN walled it may be missed on a CT scan (an MRI would probably have picked it up! Hope this helps DR Z
