I recently received elevated liver enzymes (ALT 149, AST 63), so my doctor ordered an ultrasound. That only thing that came back was a benign hemangioma. Could this be causing my elevated enzyme levels or is it likely something else?
I got tested in the hospital and had high liver enzymes (200-300 ast&alt). Any suggestions on how to get them down safely? I stopped drinking alcohol.
Liver enzymes were normal in early April AST was 32, ALT was 28, at that time I was drinking maybe 4 or 5 pints of beer on weekends (no alcohol during week). Since then, I have had 5-8 pints per wknd...blood test in a week ..will liver levels rise?
My doctor wants me to have my liver enzymes checked in 4 weeks AST was 54,ALT 21.ASP normal negative for HEP C, is 4 weeks long enough for AST to decrease? What can be done to lower AST? I dont drink alcohol or take Tylenol. BMI 22. All labs normal?
