I am diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. i know it is caused by sun exposure but its located on the underside of my breast which has never seen sun. i am scheduled for mohs surgery at a dermatologist.is that the correct approach?

Squamous cell and basal cell tumors should be surgically excised using a Mohs type of surgery. Sun exposure may have not been intentional, but these kinds of malignancies require expert and thorough removal.

PSCC is rare and found in most postmenopausal women. It is aggressive and should be treated soon as possible. Yours is being treated conservatively but the post op. results will determine if future treatment is indicated.
