A speech pathologist at your hospital can perform a swallowing study fluoroscopy which evaluates transferring food from mouth to pharynx & pharynx to esophagus to see if there's any abnormality or whether you have a diverticulum in the back of your throat. The speech pathologist will also give you tips on swallowing solids, liquids,& pills.
