Hi i took my son to see doctor as i was concerned that his neck lymph were joint together. the doctor checked and said yes they are but wasnt concerned. said we have lymph vessels. i am confused as i thought matted was only serious condition?

Lymph nodes are located throughout the body & generally noticeable in exposed areas like the neck. They are usually pea sized at rest and enlarged when stimulated by bug bites, dermatitis, drainage or infection. They are arranged in chains connected by vessels like the blood vessels but these only carry lymph fluid. I wouldn't over think it when it has already been cleared as normal.
