What is the difference between controlled arch braces and damon braces? does controlled arch braces expand the jaw ? while damon braces only expand the arch? what are the benefits and downsides to both ?

Be very careful with controlled arch braces providers - they seem to be in the same camp as AGGA users that are part of a lawsuit. May be best to stick with an orthodontist- Damon advertising may also tend to exaggerate what is possible. What matters most is the skill of the professional.

Apples & Oranges. Controlled Arch Braces Rx is based on widening upper arch to accommodate lower arch so it will magically grow. Concern is causing bone destruction by expanding beyond normal physiologic width. Damon Braces are one of many types of self ligating brackets. Both systems tend to exaggerate claims. What's important is the specialist's skill, not the gadget. See an Orthodontist
