Chewing hard food: They wedge in between teeth or grooves and can cause fractures, especially if you have fillings or other dental work.

Can be: If the kernels are hard and dried out they can crack and break teeth--similar to chewing ice. If raw and fresh, i don't see a problem if teeth are healthy.
