Are unsedated endoscopies more or less dangerous than sedated ones?

You can have an endoscopy without sedation-it will likely be more uncomfortable. It is difficult to do an upper endoscopy without sedation but not impossible. The sedation medicines are quite safe so perhaps talking to your doctor about this would be helpful. Good luck!
