Been logging my bp a few times a day. current taking 25mg of metoprolol. is it normal for bp to fluctuate from 101/69 to 117/75 and back again over the course of 3 min? will 25mg of metoprolol cause the bp to go lower. i take it for tachycardia?

Yes, it does have hypotensive effect at that dose, especially if it effectively lowers your heart rate. Please note that cardiac output (heart rate x stroke volume) and vascular resistance are the 2 main parameters for determining blood pressure and metoprolol, a beta blocker, affects both parameters. Blood pressure varies a lot when repeatedly checked and your 2 numbers seem fine. Take care.
