Is it always mandatory to prescribe antibiotics for wisdom tooth extraction? can i get my wisdom tooth extracted without taking antibiotics?

If it is an easy extraction, with little blood and little trauma to tissue and area, than it should be fine. As long as you follow post op instructions and keep site clean, than no problem. It is also good policy but not mandatory to take an antibiotic in some cases. Good oral hygiene is the key.

The prescribing of antibiotics is up to the dentist/surgeon extracting the teeth. In the US, it is not mandatory... I'm not sure what the protocol is in India.
