Assuming you're experiencing only mild testicular pain, probably you do not have epididymitis. Have you documented fever (i.e. taken your temperature) or just feel feverish? You need to be in a doctor's care to sort this out. Good luck.

Acute epididymitis causes swelling redness and high fever- chronic does not cause fever- specially for a few hours only. So your self diagnosis is not accurate. so they are not connected. Yes it is possible to have persistent bcaterial infection anywhere. Best is to have yourself checked. Good luck
