Colitis?: If the doctor thought you have a bacterial infection, she probably prescribed an antibiotic. If so, it should be better by now. There are other problems that could cause these symptoms, such as inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), diverticulitis, and others. Probably not an emergency unless there's lots of blood, but contact your doctor ASAP.
