A member asked:

Are interpolated pvcs more dangerous or indicative of a more serious condition? im awaiting a holter monitor test, but these are really freaking me out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Having underlying heart disease is what makes PVCs most concerning. I don't think interpolated PVCs are any more dangerous than other PVCs( which have a compensatory pause). Very frequent PVCs, R on T PVCs, couplets or runs of PVCs, multifocal PVCs are concerning to me and warrant an evaluation by a cardiology electrophysiologist even in the absence of underlying cardiac pathology.
