If you have never used any lotion for acne then you can start first with either benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid cream @ drug store. If there is evidence of superinfection then you need antibiotic doxycycline. Adapalene or tretinoin cream or gel can be used if the previous regimen is not effective after 4 - 6 weeks. Be careful with direct sunlight exposure & use sunscreen when using acne meds.
