A member asked:

Could genital hpv be transmitted from open unsealed wetwipes? i used someone elses wipes on my rear by accident. i'm worried that the wipe pack and or wipes have been touched by contaminated hands since the wipe used was sticking out of pack exposed?

There is a possibility- yes. but not the chances are low. Also the person you shared it with might have HPV

No risk at all. First, HIV is rarely if ever transmitted except by direct contact; no sex with an infected person means no risk. Second, most or all wet wipes contain disinfectants and preservatives which would instantaneously kill HPV and prevent transmission. Third, if the owner of the wipes had not used them, of course there would be no risk even without disinfectant etc. But no worries!
