If your blood pressure is high enough to treat, there are blood pressure medicines that do not affect the heart rate. You should get a home blood pressure monitor and check your blood pressure a few times a day at all different times to confirm that your blood pressure is high enough often enough to treat. Show these logs to your doctor so that a decision about what med to use can be made.
