My thyroid numbers in january 2023 were within normal range. in july they were at 22. what could cause this? i'm taking levothyroxine 150. the doctor just added 25 more with a re-test in 2 months. i'm worried about cancer?

Thyroid numbers can change over time for all kinds of reasons and hypothyroidism can require periodic dose adjustments. Did the doctor examine your thyroid gland by feeling your neck when you swallow? Lumps can be identified this way. You could also request a thyroid scan to see if there are any abnormalities to decrease your worry about cancer. See an endocrinologist for an evaluation. Good luck!
