You should call your doctor and let him/her know about your bowel movements. Black stool could indicate blood and you should have an evaluation. Your surgeon knows exactly what was done and if it could lead to bleeding in your GI tract. You should also have a blood count done to see if you have anemia from blood loss. This could be serious so contact your doctor ASAP. Good luck!
