A heart rate in the 90s is a bit high but tachycardia begins at 100. If you are not having any symptoms, it is likely ok to exercise, although a physical exam by your doctor prior to any exercise program would be helpful, given you high heart rate. Be certain you are not having any heart murmurs, skipped beats, etc. by seeing your doctor. Good luck!
